Once an initial assessment has been scheduled, you will receive appointment confirmation and be asked to complete the New Client Packet. Bring this with you to your first appointment. This packet contains a welcome letter, new client paper work and important information about office policies as well as a description of services.
The purpose of the initial assessment is for the therapist to gain insight and understanding into your situation in order to make treatment recommendations. This appointment will last about 45-50 minutes. Once the initial assessment is completed, a follow-up visit will be scheduled to review the assessment and treatment recommendations.
